Over the past year you have taken a lot of photos and now you want to create a “Year in Photos” CD but you aren’t quite sure how to do it? Then this tutorial is for you!
- You first need to launch Preclick Gold.
- Display all your photos in Preclick’s filmstrip - On the right side of the screen you should see a drop down menu labeled “Show”. You will want to make sure this is set to “All Photo Folders”.
- Sort the filmstrip by “Date” - Change the “Sort by” drop down menu to “Date”.
- Clear the Organize tab - Along the top of the application are four tabs. The fourth tab displays the photos you’ve selected for organizing. Click on the Organize tab and make sure there are no photos on the tab. If there are photos on the tab, click the Clear All button. Now click the View SmartPhoto™ tab.
- Select photos for organizing - You now want to scroll to the first thumbnail from 2005. Tip: If you hover your mouse over the push bar you will see a yellow tool tip with the date displayed. (See below)
Beneath each thumbnail photo in the filmstrip are three small icons. The third one is used to select that photo for organizing. (See below)
Click the Organize icon for the first thumbnail of 2005. Now hold down the “SHIFT” key on your computer keyboard and then scroll to the last thumbnail in 2005. With the “SHIFT” key still depressed, click the Organize icon for the last thumbnail of 2005. All thumbnails in between the first thumbnail and last thumbnail should be added to the Organize tab.
- Go to the Organize tab.
- Place a blank CD in your computer’s CD burner.
- Now click the Burn CD button. On the screen that pops up, you have the opportunity to name your CD and select some other options. Note: If the usage meter shows that you have more photos than will fit on a single CD, you will want to remove the extra photos from the Organize tab, burn your CD, clear the Organize tab and then repeat the process for the remaining photos.
