Tip #1
Did you know that you can change which photo folders are displayed within the Preclick Photo Organizer?

The first drop down menu below the PhotoBack lets you control which folders are displayed within the application. You can add or remove folders using the commands on the bottom of the drop down list. You can also choose to view only the contents of a particular folder by selecting the folder from the list provided.

Tip #2
Have your Photos Professionally Printed

There are several ways you can select photos for printing. You can click on the Print button when the photo is displayed in the View SmartPhoto™ tab.

Or, you can click on the Printer button under the photo thumbnail on the filmstrip.

All selected photos are added to the Print tab where you can choose to either upload the photos to an online album to print yourself or you can order prints directly through the application by clicking on the Order Prints button.

New versions of the Preclick Photo Organizer have an Add Recent button on the Print tab that will add the pictures in your latest roll to the Print tab.

You can also add multiple photos to the Print tab by clicking the Printer button under the first desired thumbnail in the filmstrip and then while holding the Shift key, click the Printer button under the last desired thumbnail. All the selected photos will be added to the Print tab.

Then, review your photos and upload. In a couple of days, your professionally printed digital photos will arrive in your mailbox.

Tip #3
Making the most of your Push Bar

The Push Bar, which runs beneath the Filmstrip and through the bottom of the Lens, shows you where you are in your collection. It is also a navigation tool that lets you jump instantly to a particular photo or group of photos. Just hover your mouse over the Push Bar and run it up and down its length — a tiny floating caption will tell you what photo or group you are above. Click to jump to it.

The Push Bar's behavior depends on how you have chosen to sort your filmstrip (the sort command is the last drop-down menu below the PhotoBack™, on the right side of the application).

* When the filmstrip is sorted by Roll, hovering your mouse over the push bar will display rolls to which you can jump.
* When the filmstrip is sorted by Date, hovering your mouse over the push bar will display specific dates to which you can jump.
* When the filmstrip is sorted by Title, hovering your mouse over the push bar will display file names to which you can jump.
* When the filmstrip is sorted by Rating, hovering your mouse over the push bar will display a particular rating to which you can jump.
* When the filmstrip is sorted by Folder, hovering your mouse over the push bar will display photo folders to which you can jump.

Tip #4
Learn more about Active Disk Technology

Iomega's Active Disk Technology enables software applications to be launched and run from portable storages devices like Iomega® Zip Disks and mini USB drives. Wherever you go, your software goes. The software automatically launches upon disk insertion. It works with all Iomega storage products and other Active Disk compatible hardware such as the CyberKey USB Drive.

The Active Disk powered Preclick Photo Organizer and your digital photos will reside on your Active Disk compatible device making it easy to share your digital photo collection with your friends and family. Just insert the disk or attach the device to your computer and Preclick will automatically run and display your photos!

Note: You will need to complete a one time install of the Active Disk Engine. This engine is provided with each download of the Preclick Photo Organizer Active Disk version. This will allow all Active Disk powered applications to run automatically on your computer.

Tip #5
Using the Preclick PhotoBack™in the Preclick Lifetime Organizer

The Preclick PhotoBack™enables you to annotate your digital pictures with captions, dates, and subject, event, and place names. In Preclick Lifetime, all the information that you enter in the PhotoBack™is embedded into your digital image files, making them into SmartPhotos™. The image files will act and look exactly the same, but when you move or archive a picture (or send it to a friend), all of your PhotoBack™data will be preserved for later viewing within Preclick, so you will never lose (or have to re-type) your annotations ever again.

In addition, Preclick's home printing feature lets you print your PhotoBack™data along with your pictures, making SmartPhoto™technology even more useful and prowerful.

Tip #6
I've entered in the pertinent information for all my photos in the PhotoBackTM, now what?

The PhotoBack™ to the right of each picture lets you enter title, caption, subject, events, place, rating, and date. The "Find" text box lets you enter text to search. The "Show" menu lets you search for specific folders. The "Sort by" lets you group pictures by Date, Folder, Title, Rating and Roll. You can use the Find, Sort by, and Rating drop down menus on the right side of the application to only show those photos in your collection you want to see. You can then go to the Share, Print or Organize tab, and click the Add Strip button to easily add all the photos in the current (sorted or searched) strip to that specified tab.

Tip #7
Using Preclick's Home Printing

Preclick Lifetime home printing feature enables you to save both time and money when using expensive photo printing paper.

Tip #8
What can the Organize tab do for me?

You can actually move your photos from one folder to another using the Organize tab. Add all the photos you wish to organize to the tab and then select Copy Photos. A dialog will pop up which will allow you to select a location to copy the photos, create a new folder if necessary and even delete the originals if you are moving the photos to a new location. The Copy Photos function enables you to copy and organize files between hard drives, network drives, floppy disks, Zip disks and USB drives. If you are copying to a removable device like a USB drive or a ZIP drive, you can even copy photos and the Preclick application and then give it to your friends and they will have the viewer on their computer. We will be adding CD burning to this tab also in the near future.
