New Preclick®-powered Photo Organizer Software leverages latest HP imaging and printing technology Retailers, manufacturers and online service can offer branded software to customers Orlando, Fla., Feb. 15, 2005 – Preclick Corporation today announced the availability of CD-Viewer and Photo Organizer software, built with HP's industry-leading imaging and printing technology, for select retailers, peripheral manufacturers and online service providers. Licensees can customize, brand and distribute software copies to their customers, enhancing home digital photography for a wider audience. Adorama, the nation's #2 mail-order photo retailer, announced today it will distribute the Preclick-powered Photo Organizer software with every order and at photo-sharing site, www.adoramapix.com. "Since 2002, we've offered Preclick software that helps our customers switch to digital," said Herman Klein, Adorama PhotoLab manager. "It's so simple, customers love it. Now with HP imaging and printing technology, we can offer customers the best home printing experience. While they still print with Adorama, we anticipate additional sales from home printing solutions, including HP printers, premium photo paper and ink." Developed by Preclick in 2004, the new software comes in two editions: CD-Viewer and Desktop Software. All versions include leading-edge HP technology, such as adaptive lighting, which automatically adjusts high-contrast photos to bring faces out of shadows and details out of backgrounds. The HP technology also lets users print borderless 4x6-inch photos in just one click. In addition, the Preclick software uniquely offers a frequently updated Create-tab where customers can build drag-and-drop projects and album pages. "Our aim is simple: the easiest way to print photos at home," said Brian Smiga, Preclick CEO. "Our software includes marketing tools such as customer registration, surveys, retailer branding, and built-in HTML windows that educate customers." At 3MB, the Preclick-powered Organizer installs in seconds; the CD-Viewer is smaller than a JPEG file. Preclick's zero-learning curve speeds adoption. Both editions are available in 22 languages. Both have a plug-in architecture to support add-on software from HP and Preclick, such as PhotoBack backup software, PhotoMovieMaker, and Photowiki Photo Sites. "The Preclick-powered software with HP technology for retailers is another step that delivers positive experiences to the growing base of photo-ready printer owners," said Tim Bajarin, CEO of consumer analyst firm, Creative Strategies. Preclick earned the "Best of Show 2003" at Photo Marketing show, www.pmai.org, cited by Shutterbug Magazine "as fun to use as it is easy to use."
